Our process for hiring temps is very similar to our process for contingency searches. It is imperative that each individual we hire uphold Clarity's rigorous standards.
Listening is the first step toward finding the right candidate for the right job. Accurately assessing your specific requirements is paramount to finding the right person. This includes:
- Understanding your business
- Knowing the industry
- Getting a feel for the corporate culture
- Appreciating the subtleties of a particular position
Clarity identifies potential candidates in a variety of ways, including:
- Candidate Referrals
- Client Referrals
- Online Resources (e.g. Monsterboard, Hotjobs, and others)
- The New York times Classified Ads
- Networking organizations and events
There is no shortage of talented individuals right now, but to find the right candidates, we employ a variety of screening techniques:
- Initial screening to ensure that the candidate is up to Clarity's standards
- Each candidate is thoroughly tested for proficiency with leading industry software
- A comprehensive interview with at least two of Clarity's counselors
- At least three references are checked for each candidate.
Once the appropriate candidates have been selected, we work collaboratively with our clients to ensure that each candidate will be a good cultural fit and can perform in the specific environment of a given position.
This step in the process transcends the usual assessment of a candidate by identifying the soft skills that will allow this person to excel in a particular environment. Can this client handle the pressure of a trading floor? Does she have the communication skills necessary to support a Fortune 500 CEO? Can he acclimate to the creative culture of Madison Avenue? This is the Clarity Difference.
